When I first arrived at Bowie House located in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, I was slightly skeptical to say the least. It seemed such an odd location to have a luxury boutique hotel. However, being from Flint, Michigan, I tend to be open to unique gems that may at first seem out of place. The appeal and shine of this Bowie House gem became clearer and brighter, the more I learned and saw. Now I fully understand that Bowie House is a hidden gem that offers a remarkable blend of authentic Texas charm, expertly crafted cocktails, and a celebration of unique art and has become a local favorite for those seeking true Texas hospitality and creativity.

When I first stepped into Bowie House, I was immediately transported into what seems like a luxury home that exudes Texas warmth and hospitality. The interior is a beautiful fusion of rustic elegance and contemporary style, with rich wooden beams, warm leather seating, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

I of course headed straight the bar to try one of the craft cocktails paired with some small plate pairings: the deviled eggs were devine. I also had a BLT wedge salad that I can’t stop thinking about.

Since the bartenders at Bowie House take such pride in their craft, making the drinks as much of a masterpiece as the art on the walls, I just gave the bartender poetic license to make me a mezcal smokey-sweet drink and she made one up for me on the spot….and I loved it.
